Methods for reliability and safety evaluation of technical systems
Transfer of operational research results to engineering practice,
Statistical methods for operational research and simulation of machine operation and maintenance processes,
Creation of knowledge bases for machine reliability and safety analysis;
Application of computer aided techniques for analysis of machine reliability and safety.
PROPOSED COOPERATION AREAS IN DEVELOPING OF MINING MACHINES:
Mining machines used in front work,
Hydraulic systems in machines, with focus on the mining industry,
Mechatronic and electrohydraulic support systems,
Elaboration of technical opinions on heavy machines and their components (employees with expert witness status).
PROPOSED COOPERATION AREAS IN LOGISTICS:
The basics of logistics and logistics supply chain management,
Methods for designing and implementing logistics supply and distribution systems,
Techniques and technologies of material storage,
Design and implementation of internal transport systems,
Modelling, simulation and visualization of material flow processes in logistics systems (using computer aided logistics methods - CAL),
Ecology and recycling systems.
PROPOSED COOPERATION AREAS IN LAND, AIR AND INLAND TRANSPORT:
Organization and operation issues of passenger transport (railway, tramway, bus, plane),
Operation and maintenance issues of rail, air, road and inland transport systems,
Issues related to operation of freight transport, and in particular intermodal transport,
Specialized transport technologies such as hazardous materials, perishable loads, non-standard loads, etc.
Study and assessment of transport mean and system reliability;
Transport risk analysis.
PROPOSED COOPERATION AREAS IN DIAGNOSTICS:
Short- and long-term studies of static and dynamic loads in heavy machines under operating conditions,
Identification of statistical distribution parameters of external loads in machine operation processes,
Vibroacoustic diagnostics of components and assemblies of machines and transport means,
Reducing methods of the intensity of vibroacoustic processes - passive and active methods of vibration and noise reduction in machines,
Vibroacoustic hazards in the environment,
Thermal diagnostics of mechanical and hydraulic components and assemblies.

Design, modernization and miniaturization of hydraulic and electrohydraulic systems,
Automation of hydraulic systems control,
Optimization of hydraulic components and systems,
Modelling of viscous and compressible fluids with respect to thermodynamic transformations,
Numerical modelling of hydrodynamic interactions of ships,
Calculation of multiphase flows: cavitation flows, free flow flows, solid phase flows,
Testing of single- and multi-source (hybrid) hydraulic systems.
